if you really want more power you need a larger throttle body, more valve duration/lift, head work to make larger intake and exhaust ports ( or a turbo or supercharger) different fuel mapping in the ECU and higher capacity injectors. And even then the stock air filter is probably adequate..
I bought the 2005 one by mistake, but trimmed the bottom to fit my 2004
I am interested in intentionally purchasing a 2005 grille for my 2001 because that year offered a white colored version. How difficult was it to trim it to fit? It looks good from the pictures, but any regrets in trimming it?

installed the CAI anf the shifting is not as it was it was super smoothe now it bumps into gears mainly 3rd
took out and cleaned the maf incase it got dirty during istallation no change
tried to re set the PCm by disconnecting the battery both cable and reconnecting and putting key in on position then off position then start the car and drive with light throttle for 15 min the drive normally supposed to allow transmission Re learn no change
i cant delete the KAM files with the scanner i have maxicom mk808

My Mistake
I failed to check good connection for the In wire connected to the intake it had moved during installation and needed to be reconnected firmly. all great again
