I currently have a Leer retractable Tonneau Cover. I'm very disappointed in the quality and am looking to replace it. I have an F350 with an 8' bed that I use to tow my 5th wheel camper. I would like to leave the cover on my truck when towing and have a cover that doesn't block my visibility. In live in the mid-west were we have to deal with ice and snow. Once it gets cold out my current cover won't open and if it's too hot out it won't open all the way. I would like to get a RetraxPro but am worried about opening the cover when there is ice & snow. I also like the BacFlip (I've had these on other trucks) however I'm not sure if I'll have any clearance issues with the camper. I don't want to open this cover all the way since it would block my view. Does anyone use either of these two covers?
I had a BakFlip trifold on my 350 with 8ft bed, no clearance issues towing, although after 3-4 years a couple of the cross bars needed to be re-rivetted, which wasn't entirely successful so I used a high grade polymer sealant/glue to help.Other than that the cover was great & secure.
I have a Bak Revolver X4s on my 8’ bed. No clearance issues with the 5W or gooseneck. It covers about 1/3 of the rear window when rolled up. I have no visibility issues with it. It snows a fair amount where I’m at also and I just push the snow off with a broom and it rolls up no problem. No issues with keeping the bed dry either. I would buy it again if I had too.
Consider the Peragon bed cover. I've had mine for many years now and had no issues with rear visibility, open or closed. I also leave my Andersen Ultimate in the truck bed and the cover has no issue clearing it.

I've used a RetraxPro on my F-350 CCSB and F-450 over the past 6 years. No issues with clearances towing our 5th wheel on either truck. I like the ability to only open the cover part way while towing as well. I haven't had issues with water leaking either. Customer service from Retrax has been great as I noticed one of the plastic bumpers on the rail attachment had cracked a bit. I called them up and then quickly sent out a new set of them. In the winter with snow and ice accumulation I've been able to open the cover easily too, although if there is a large amount of snow on the cover it's wise to brush it off prior to opening otherwise that snow will end up in the bed.
They can be a bit expensive, but overall I'm pleased with product and would buy another if I get another truck.
Truxedo X15 Pro here.
I like it because A) It rolls up with no impeding sight issues, B) stiff supports built in C) removes easily (and stores vertically in garage) as our truck converts to a Lance camper hauler in the summer when our 5th wheel rests at home. It's 1.5 years old and has seen snow, rain, cold weather, hot weather and still looks new. I use Aerospace 303 on it once every 4 months.
I have the Bakflip MX4 on my 450 and love it. Fold up 3 of the 4 panels and I can hitch up the 5er with no issues, it also lays flat this way. If I need to flip up the 4th panel to use the whole bed it is vertical and blocks the rear window.
Seems pretty secure, and I have noticed very little water leakage during some recent heavy rains.
I had a Roll n Lock for years until I sold my 2002 F250 in 2018. It was durable and I liked it but the intermediate stops never seemed to work that well for towing the 5th wheel. When I bought a 2017 F250 I went with a Retrax Pro and really liked it a lot. I thought it opened and closed much smoother than the Roll n Lock and seemed to keep the water out a bit better. I sold it with the truck and bought another one for the 2022 F350. Their customer service is excellent. I just wish they didn't get rid of the stake pocket cutout option on the rail kits.
I had a Leer Jackrabbit on my 22 F-350 long bed which was nothing but problems from the start. Very difficult to install and maintain. It would come open while traveling down the road with the slightest bump. No matter how or how many times I adjusted, it would not stay closed. I replaced it with a RetraxPro MX recently and couldn't be happier. It is more expensive but the design and quality are miles ahead.

Any issues at all yet with component quality or fit after this length of use MAX4utah?
I was leaning HEAVILY towards ths for my F350 SCLB until I went to their own website and saw the number of 1 - 2 star reviews which complained the majority of the time about clips breaking, seals degrading and horrendous issues dealing with their CSD on getiing warranty relief or even replacement parts.
As I understand it, the OEM hard-rollers you can buy directly from Ford are simply rebranded MX4s and the same issues and complaints are found in them as well.
