I’m currently running Bilstein 5100’s on all four corners of my truck. Is anyone running the Bilstein B8 5160’s? I have a set of Deaver leafs in the garage waiting for the spare time one afternoon to install them & I am looking at these among other shocks. Let me know your experience with them.
I think the 5100's are a great upgrade on stock 250's and 350's as they tighten up the ride and handling over the stock shocks. When you start changing springs I do not think the digressive valving of the Bilstiens is a good match for the Deavers. I would be looking at the Fox 2.0 resi to compliment the Deaver springs. The progressive Fox is better match.
I actually think the best way to go once you have committed to spring changes is a Carli system, front and rear springs with shocks tuned to match. that is how you get the most out of the aftermarket components.
I have 5100's on my F350 but I had a first gen Raptor with the Fox 2.5's. The F350 has too much work to do for a suspension conversion.
