Absolutely love mine. Had it 18 months now and 24,000 miles. Tows my 7,000 lb camper through the blue ridge and Appalachian mountains very well. It’s also my travel vehicle even when I don’t take the camper. Get 8 to 9 mpg towing and 14 to 16 interstate and not towing.
The engine is extremely willing and revs fast and easy. Will light up the tires if you get on it quickly.
Absolutely love mine. 43k on this one, 17k on the '17. For what it is, a HD truck, mine gets decent MPG. Over the 43k on the '19, I've averaged 15.7 MPG. Highway, I've been as high as 18.7. Anyhow, enough on MPGs, As you can find on searches, its a great, reliable engine. Possibly one of the best HD gas engines to date.
Another very satisfied 6.2L owner. Just passing 41K now - majority towing ~8K bumper pull camper around the western states. Average 8-9.5 towing and ~12 around town. Very rare to put freeway miles empty but have seen over 16 at times. Looking forward to many more miles out of this one. It's a great all around workhorse for sure.
No issues with my ‘17 6.2. I’m at 57k miles now and get the same mileage posted above. I am dealing with the coil pack issue now, but not a big deal there. I have an extended warranty for that too, so really not a big deal. Otherwise the engine just goes, and goes.
OP, I apologize but this is old news to you, but the 6.2 isn't available in '23+ models. The used market should be full of them though and you'll not find many complaints here, from what I've read. You will see some...ahem..."measuring" contests between 6.2 and 7.3 fans on occasion, but that often deals more with personalities than engines
Ok, my .02 worth. First off, it's an awesome proven powerplant. Had one in a 13 F150, never had an issue with it BUT, I also had 3.31 gears which I hated. It was a pain towing with it to keep the engine in the powerband. Even with an empty trailer it would downshift at any slight grade, then wind out going up hills. I know it was the gearing so that was my only complaint. As long as you have lower gears or probably the 10 speed transmission it would be a dream. Engine wise, it was perfect.

Thank you. I am buying used, so will go as new as possible. I want the aluminum body, will keep my eyes peeled for the right one.

Some other information that may help you out if you dont already know?
2017-2022 model year F250s with a 6.2L engine come with a 6R100 transmission.
2017-2019 model year F350s with a 6.2L engine come with a 6R140 transmission.
2020-2022 model year F350s with a 6.2L engine come with a 10R140 transmission.
The 6R140 and 6R100 transmissions have a great reputation. The 10R140 seems to be doing well overall but did have a few TSBs issued in the year range you'll be looking at. I had a 2013 6.2L with 154k when I sold it. Sparks plugs, a drive belt, and fluid changes were all I ever did. I also service fleet customers and hardly ever see a 6.2L in for anything beside an oil change.

I have not had 1 problem with the 6.2L engine. Seems to run everyday like the day I bought it ..................which is why I bought the 6.2L to start with. The 6.2L is a brick house, the Eveready bunny, the work horse of all work horses, etc. etc.
Only problem with my Superduty (you can search and read all you want here) was the fuel pump or fuel sending unit inside the fuel tank. Problem is allegedly a faulty check valve associated with the fuel pump unit. So the part and part# had changed (allegedly improved) a couple of times when I replaced my fuel pump at about 70,000 miles. Well, apparently the Ford Superduty is the only vehicle on planet earth that I know of that can't make a decent check valve/fuel pump. I've been needing to replace part again for probably 30,000 miles. Truck has always started, just slow to start and turns over a lot. However, this has nothing to do with the 6.2L.
But ............. I don't think you will find a more dependable engine than the 6.2L

Same with mine. 2019 with 68000 and not an issue at all except for the long crank. Replaced the pump around 55000 and didnt solve the problem. On hot days its gonna crank a little longer than on a cool day. Other than that I wouldn't trade it in on any other truck out there. Solid and reliable.
'22 F250, 6.2L and TorqShift®-G Six-Speed Automatic w/SelectShift® Automatic with 25k miles. Love the truck and I've pulled a 13k 5th wheel twice. It did great on the flats but struggled the one time we brought it up to the NC mountains....which I completely expected. Same mileage as everyone else.....6-8 towing and 16 around the county.
I am having issues with the transmission. Constant clanking and double shifting. Dealer has been no help. They want to keep it for a couple of months to try to determine the issue.
