Curious if the 2023 model will fix the tailgate so it cannot be opened so easily with a screwdriver or the like by the wonderful thieves of the world? I presume there are design changes with the additional camera setup, just not sure if they will also address this problem. Add the lock cylinder on the doors to that question.
Ford never fixed the issue of the idiotically easy to defeat door locks in the 1999-2016 Super Duty trucks. What is there motivation to fix the tailgate issue on the 2017+ trucks?
How about fix the unsustainable price increases. Or, the lack of choices in the 23 XL. Or, find part suppliers on this side of the pond. Or, update their chips to something recent and not circa 2002.
The way you fix Ford is let the Japanese take them over, fire all the lazy and stupid Americans from the company (which is all of them), re-engineer the product line to be quality products, move production overseas where workers dont belong to corrupt horrible unions, close all the lazy expensive dealerships full of salesmen that dont know anything and service techs that can't fix anything and executives that cant make anything, and sell straight from the factory to the consumer....and charge the same price if not more.....and we'll pay it.

I’m 11 superdutys in. 12 if i could count my 1997 f250. Not happy with fords current business model. I despise Dodge/Chrysler. Not a fan of Chevy/gmc either. What’s a guy to do?
Current truck is ok, heated steering wheel stopped working and upper oil pan is leaking and i cant deal with my local dealers cause they suck.
hopefully things clear up.

I hear that. I am not a GM guy for trucks, RAM does not have exactly what I want, so here I am as well.
I’m sure I’ll stick with ford. Dodge(ram) for me growing up was always the big lots of vehicles. Cheap and crappy. I really dont know much about chevy/gmc.
Let’s see, I’ve had a 1977 Oldsmobile cutlas when i was in high school that led to 3 Toyota pickups, a dodge ‘94 pickup(disaster) a used gmc jimmy blazer(cant complain) and the rest have been ford diesel pickups. If Toyota built a pickup with 15/16k in towing capacity(or Nissan) i would jump. Nissan had some things going on in the news but my wife loves them and is on her 4th. Had a friend after high school that got a Nissan hard body and absolutely abused it, like redline burnouts, and couldnt kill it.
vehicle are important. I’d love not to have to pull 15k, it would open my choices up tremendously. Subsequently my importance of a vehicle all together.

I was with with you right up until the "and charge the same price if not more.....and we'll pay it" part. I had a family member that was an engineer at A/C Delco in '90's. Broom pushers were getting paid $35 hr back then, and the more they got paid the more they complained and the lazier they got. Truly shameful.
Ford has been my truck of choice from my 72 F100 up till my 04 F250. I still drive my 95 F150 (143k miles) & my 99 F350 in signature (114k miles) and unless Ford comes down in price and builds a better truck I will never see another new one I drove my 04 F250 275k miles before selling it. Purchase costs, maintenance costs and life expectancy of the product just isn't there anymore.

This one hits home hard. I was all set to order another SD in RCLB when I got my CCLB this year since overall it was a well built truck and I could spec it exactly as I wanted it, bam order window was closed and 23 brought on all the shennanigans you mentioned.

The Ford Family runs the company like they run the Detroit Lions. They never pay money to get whats really good.
