Hello, I'm wanting to put a toggel switch on the brake switch wire that controls the gear selector on a 02 f250 7.3 PSD automatic, I can't find a wiring diagram for the brake switch, anybody know what wire I'm looking for? I was also thinking about putting a second toggel on either the IDM fuse or relay, which one would be better? Or does it matter. Any advice is appreciated, thanks everybody.
So...you're wanting to disable the safety interlock? Out of curiousity...why? That is what keeps you from starting the vehicle in gear, or from shifting out of park without having your foot on the brake.
I would suggest a battery disconnect located in the cab instead, tucked up under the bed. Less critical systems involved and kills power to EVERYTHING. Some even come with a removable 'key' that makes it so it can't be actuated without the key.
Or invest in a remote start system for diesels that also includes an alarm. These are relatively cheap and come professionally installed, which means if there's a problem with their work they will usually warranty it.
Install a Ravelco anti-theft device. They've been in business over 46 years and over 6 million installed and zero thefts.
And or install a steering column collar. Barry Johnston from Alberta, Canada sells the collars off Facebook. Ravelco Anti Theft Device

Do you have a link to this fellas facebook page? I'm also from Alberta
edit: Looks like this is the guy
Look him up. I am no longer on FB. Sorry... He will show up under a search of FB...
Yep I found him, thanks. A bit more than I was hoping it was going to cost but I feel with this, 2 clubs (one on wheel, one on brake pedal,) and an alarm system should be enough to discourage all but the most ambitious of thieves.
