Was doing the blue spring upgrade on my 03 and had to remove the "seat" for the regulator valve. When going back with new one and new oring i could not get it to pop in there so i decided to drive it in with the cover.
Guess that was a mistake as i damaged the face of the seat driving it on unevenly. I finished the job leaving the damaged seat in as i dont see if have a damaged face is an issue for anything?
Can someone let me know if i am wrong?
Pic is of old seat just to be clear of which piece im talking about does not show damage as it is the old one. old seat
It depends if your new seat is distorted, not just marred.
Tomorrow I’m not selling Christmas trees, so I’ll look around in the garage and see if I still have that seat left over when I put a new kit in my truck.
thanks for the comment. Truck has been in service past 2 days with increased fuel pressure and seemingly know problems. I think im going to let it ride i dont see how the seat face would effect anything and I assume a damaged seat would allow unregulated fuel to flow back and you would see lowered pressure.
