I have a 69 Ford F100. I was wondering what the holes near/next to the rear window are. There was an insert to cover them. I am hoping they are for 3 point seat belt mounts. Although I have researched and I'm pretty sure the holes for a 3 point seat belt only come in 72 and new ford's. So, what are these holes next to the back glass for?
I have them in my 67 F100 Ranger. Check the thread size and compare with what is provided with the seat belt kits. I recall hearing/reading some may be different, but haven't researched that myself.
Not sure if it makes any difference but my truck was built in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
The thread on my 68 was 3/8” X 16 thread per inch. I have the ones that Juliano’s sells. They are available with FORD embossed on the buckle. With the seat all the way back the clearance with the retractor is real tight.

I've searched all over their site and didn't find ones that have the Ford buckles.
I sent a question earlier this week to Julianos asking them if they had seat belts for 67-72 F100's and what size their bolt was. This was their reply:
We do not have a specific kit for that truck. Guys normally use our universal 3pt kit. The shoulder bolt is a 7/16"-20 thread. The Starburst is a good choice for Fords as this buckle style was used in the 80s and 90s by Ford. Starburst Shoulder belt

Kenny,
Just curious as to how long ago you got your seat belts from Juliano's. Maybe they stopped carrying the Ford ones?
I must apologize guys. I had bought the first set from Julianio’s for my XL. The second set did not come from them. I will try to find where I got the ones with the FORD embossing. I probably bought them about 5 years ago when I was converting to the CV/ Coyote set up.
I have looked at every site that advertises 3 point seat belts and none of them mention being able to customize the buckle with the FORD logo in script. I contacted the company who I think may have made the ones I have.
This guy may have thought I was from Ford checking on their licensing restrictions. He said that they cannot do that.
Maybe there is another seat belt company out there that does have permission from Ford.
Although I'd prefer something with a Ford logo, I would even more prefer something oem for the bump years over the square starburst Ford style from 77+--It reminds me too much of the overstuffed Mercury Marquis my grandparents drove.
It's frustrating that seatbelts plus sells lap belts with a very similar buckle to OEM for 68-76 Broncos in the lap belt variety but doesn't have an option for those buckles for the 3-point belts.

I am with you Steve on why the don't make the 3 point with the round Starburst.. I have lap belts with the Starburst in my 67 that seem to have been manufactured in 66.. Not sure why the colour didn't match the seat. They are in excellent shape, but not sure if after 55 years the stitching is up to snuff.
Yes, those holes are for a 3 point belt system. I have read some were coarse thread, some fine thread, and some not tapped meant to being tapped later by customer or dealership.
