96" wide trailers are not a problem. It's the 102" wide trailers that the mirrors really don't extend out far enough. With a 102" wide trailer, you only have about 2" of mirror out past the trailer sides.

My trailer width is over 96". When I replaced the front skin I had to look hard for a local source for a sheet of fiberglass that fit.

And probably why Moose don't run as fast as they could.
