Ford LN 9000 VIN
Hello All,
I recently purchased a LN 9000. The door tag is missing so I would like to find where the vin is stamped in the frame. If anyone knows where to look I would appreciate some help.
The vin from the title is 1FDYW90R3BVJ37341.

Vin may be on the frame rail, top or sometimes inside, sometimes both, just about even with the front axle, sometimes near the alternator if that's hanging over there, sometimes under the cab. It may also be on one or more crossmember.
1FD = Ford Motor Co USA, incomplete vehicle
Y = Class 8, 33,001 - 55,000 lbs GVWR, air brakes
W90 = LNT 900 diesel, tandem axle. (badged and referred to elsewhere as a LN9000)
R = Detroit 6V-92TA or 6V-92TTA 552 CID 6 cylinder diesel engine
3 = Ford check digit, ignore
B = 1981 model year
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
J37341 = Production Serial Number
