This is basically a mute point cause I've been towing with my EXPY since I got it, but the brochure & owners manual say that my 2003 Expy XLT. 5.4 4x4 has something called towing mode. I was just wondering what this was? How it tells I'm towing something? and what does it limit? and if it's from the tranny going into od then it aint working cause it can.
A wild guess is that the computer has a program that senses a heavier than normal load and it adjusts the shift points and power settings to accomodate the load. I believe it would dealy the shifts but not lock out OD.
Kind of like older vehicles(usually Japanese) that had an economy and power switch on the dash that affected the shift points.
