The horn Ford provides on my 2022 Ford F-450 Platinum is a joke and they are barely heard.
I'm curious if anyone out there has installed electric horns replacement on their Super Duty. I would be interested in seeing the location, make and model, and the degree of difficulty in the installation as well as do they work.
I used to run these on my street bikes. They’re LOUD. I’d run a 12awg wire from battery to horn and use the stock horn wiring as the “signal” to fire the relay.
Sounds like there's something wrong with your factory horn, because the factory horn on my FIL's 22 F250 is VERY loud - to the point where it hurts your ears if you stand anywhere near the front of it and someone honks it.

How often are you honking at people standing in front of your truck as opposed to some dillweed in his BMW with the windows up, air on high and radio jamming while cutting you off because he doesn't want to get behind you and your trailer? The horns in these trucks are terrible. Yeah, they're loud sitting still and standing right in front of them. On the road, it's a whole different experience.

Not saying that louder couldn't be useful but I too find the factory horn to be plenty effective. I have yet to go unnoticed when using it on the road, and outside the truck it can be startling (disabling the double honk was a must).

I don’t see the loudness of your horn making any difference at all in this situation. The dillweed mentioned knows he’s cutting you off and whether or not he hears your horn after the fact makes no difference to him (or her).
I’m in the camp thinking our horns are loud enough. My problem is with the Billy big-riggers that install obnoxiously loud horns and seem to love honking them.

I was slowly side-swiped by a clueless woman a few years ago. We were in VERY heavy traffic and she started changing lanes into me without ever looking over. I laid on the horn, moved as far away from her in my lane as I could and slowed as quickly as I could without getting rear-ended. She kept coming over, never once looking my way, despite the horn honking at her from maybe 8 feet away from her head. The ensuing contact left scrapes down the entire side of the car I was driving (family member) and the other lady's entire driver's side. She never once looked over until she hit me. I never let off the horn until we stopped. Me whistling at her would've done just as well as the horn.
