Uncontrolable Accel.
When I accelerated to pass a slow moving bus, the gas petal in my '97 F-150 dropped to the floor without me pushing it. The truck accelerated to high speeds and the petal would not come loose. Any attempts to slow down the vehicle with brakes failed. I threw it up into neutral and reved the engine as much as I could until the pedal came loose. Does anyone know why that happened? And does anyone know any solutions to my problem? Please reply ASAP before I die!
