We are sitting here discussing the coming year which always brings up making the darn bed. Anyone find anything magical to making the bed? My wife says she is tired of basically standing on her head getting it made up!
We have been known on occasion to have a bed on top of the bed. Fold everything up in the morning and stack neatly in the corner and straighten out the wrinkles on the 'made' bed - blankets underneath. We've also used doubled up sleeping bags.
When we do crawl under the covers, well.........in the morning, I put my ear plugs in and take a cup of coffee out to the camp chairs. When I notice the Warden sitting in the chair next to me, I know it is now safe to go in and start thinking about breakfast.
No secrets to tell sorry.
We have a 2019 AF990 and always leave the bed made up with the topper that comes with it.
We then have an older style wider sleeping bag that we open up for the "Bottom" layer and use a blanket or comforter if it's really cold over the top of us. Works great.
Never have been under the sheets and we've had the camper for 4 1/2 years.
If I don't want to make the "bed" (which generally consists of me zipping up the sleeping bag) I just raise the bunk up to the ceiling. I would dearly love to have a real bed that doesn't require a ladder to get into. I'm (my knees really) getting too old for that crap.
For us it was always just leave the bottom sheets on and then use a wave to lay the comforter across the top, then the rest gets figured out at bedtime. During the day, stuff always got thrown up there to mess things up anyways.
