Ford Upfitter Interface Module (UIM) / Programming
I ordered the truck with Upfitter switches and have been reading about a Upfitter Interface Module (UIM) but not sure if the fact that I ordered the Upfitter switches, it comes with this module.
The ford website picture seems to indicate that it's under the glove box.
I also had a read of InterMotive and downloaded their manual UIM-B. Their Master Distributor is IGS Group but they don't have pricing on the unit on their website.
Question: Has anyone seen one of these UIM modules installed on their 2022 trucks, ordered with Upfitter Switches?
I've seen them on ebay for $200 to $360. As most have the correct model number (B-UIM502-B), but don't say they'll work on my truck...not sure if I should order it.
I sent InterMotive an email asking if the 2018 will work on a 2022 truck or if the firmware can be updated...we'll see what they say.

My thought was that if you had additional lights, mounted to a bumper or headache rack, you might use the Upfitter switch to enable them and program the switch to turn off when your High Beams on...The concept is that when driving in the mountains, when it's dark, and you've added Lights on with the upfitter switch, they'd turn off when your high beams aren't on so as not to blind an on coming vehicle. This isn't such a need, but in the Pacific Northwest, on logging roads, having added lights to see just off the road side, is a big help. While there's little or no traffic on these roads, the feature would be handy.
