Adding an Upfitter Interface Module (UIM)? NOT switches
Has anyone here ever added an UIM after factory?
I'm talking about the Upfitter Interface Module NOT the upfitter switches. The UIM connects to one of the CAN network buses and lets you control relays based on control unit messages. I imagine for example, you could program it to switch from OEM horn to train horn over 45 MPH, turn on strobes when you turn on hazard lights, etc.
It looks like it is only available as a fleet order item.
I'm curious if the wiring harness is available on all Super Duty trucks, and what it takes to program.
