I put a 2" leveling kit on my '22 F350 with the track bar and everything but I thought the shock extensions would be good enough. they're not, I can't keep them from getting loose.
What would be a good shock to buy ? I don't need anything more than stock because I'm not an offroad racer I just want the best ride I can get. any ideas on what's the closest to OEM I can get that's a little longer?
I’m running Bilstein 5100’s with my 2.5” Ready Lift coils & I think they ride well. Better than OEM for certain according to my well calibrated butt meter.
Readylift and Bilsteins here. Very happy with the setup.
That's what's on mine, as well. The previous owner installed the ReadyLift leveling kit, apparently (springs and Bilsteins - front and rear). Rides nicely, I've no complaints.
ReadyLift uses the Bilstein 5125 (33-230450) with their 2.5" front lift. 5125's are Bilstein's non vehicle specific shock and that part # is a longer travel shock (good thing) than the 5100 that is often used. I have been curious if and how the valving might differ but only find valving numbers for the 5125's, not the 5100s.
(EDIT- I could be mistaken on which years the above applied to)
I haven't looked that closely at the Bilsteins on mine, but is the model number stamped on the tube somewhere? It'd be interesting to know which Bilstein is on mine (and confirm that the kit was installed, and not just the lift springs only).

I never noticed any stickers (they weren't obvious enough to notice, the last time I looked, but I wasn't actually looking for them). I've got to crawl under the truck sometime tomorrow, once it warms up outside. I'll take a look for them, thanks!

I could have my years mixed up when it comes to the model and part #, but regardless, the # would be found on the sticker.
