My M275 has 3.31 gears is it. It does also have the electronic locker, but I do not think that was a requirement.

Correct; the M275 is standard with the diesel and optional when you order 4.30 gears on the gasser (or buy a Tremor). I see the electronic locking diff as standard at least on the trim levels I looked at.

So why wasn’t the M275 in the gasser affected?
Is the gasser M275 different than the one in the diesel?

I think I remember reading that only the diesel had enough torque to damage it. Seems reassuring. Should be all if that’s the case.

Yeah, it's the same - I think they should have considered them the same as far as resolution went but.....

over 30k were officially put on the list but other truck variants were also using that axle but didnt meet the recall criteria. so theres probly quit a few thin wall axled trucks running around out there. when a guy on youtube had his tube collapse he sawed it open and miced the wall at not much over 1/8" if im not mistaken. .140" or something like that. when the new housing showed up i think he said the walls were still only .180" i think , measured at the breather tube hole

Not sure what the tube thickness was before or after the affected units, only that I've not heard of a single problem with those ones. The original thread (from that there were 12 reported failures at the time) :
