I recently installed a dashcam and wired it into the fuse box with a fuse tap. My problem is that the two fuses I tried were both hot all the time which means I have to remember to turn the camera off manually. I would rather use a fuse which is only hot while the vehicle is on. The manual isn't much help because it doesn't address this. Hopefully one of you can assist me so I don't have to try all of the fuses in the box!

I tapped 29 & 35 for my Blackvue. I can't remember at this point which was which, but checking them is super easy... just use a test light. Turn the truck off, wait about 10 minutes to make sure all the auxiliary power is shut down and then check the fuses. Ground one end and then simply touch each fuse... if it lights up it's constant and if not its powered when keyed on. The manual is helpful to tell you which fuse is for what. I ended up tapping into these 2 fuses and neither were for anything that I had in my truck so it was nice knowing I wasn't piggy backing off of something important.
I needed a similar fuse for my DRL LED light bars that I installed (that had ignition power only). I ended up tapping the Snow Plow fuse in the underhood fuse box. Since I don't have that option, that's a free fuse to use and won't impact any other powered circuits otherwise utilized.
Here's a link with an interactive diagram, that I found to be very handy:
I dropped the wires through the headliner, down the right side A pillar, and to the fuse panel located near the floor on the passenger side. Then using a voltmeter, I found two fuses, one always hot, the other with voltage only when ignition was on and used these for the taps:
