I have a 2001 f250 with a 5.4 and blew the 4r100 in it, I’m wondering if a 5r110 swap is possible and what other stuff would I need?

 

It wouldn't be bolt in because you would also need some sort of computer to control the transmission. Your present PCM isn't equipped for controlling a 6 speed transmission. Yes, the 5R110W is a 6 speed, but only 5 of the 6 forward gears are used at any given time. Which 5 gears are used depends on the temperature.

A better bet would be to replace the outgoing 4R100 with a stronger 4R100. There are many good choices.
