Axle:?
There is a certification label on the door jamb with an axle code. There is (was?) a tag on the axle on one of the bolts holding the rear cover on. Either the code or all the numbers from the tag will tell what your ratio is.
What is the problem with it?
--slow acceleration? Maybe too tall of an axle ratio, or bigger tires. Like a 3.54 axle with 40" tires.
--low top speed, screaming on the freeway? Too short of an axle ratio, something like 4.88s with standard tires.
--poor fuel economy? Standard on every 460 equipped 3/4 ton truck.....
