Electrical Gremlins on 2017 f150

Rolled into the store, turned off the truck, but the radio didn't go off, and was unresponsive to volume, changing channels, or on/off. Re-started the truck, turned it off, and no change.

Restarted truck to get it home, and I am seeing significant electrical issues:

- radio - power, volume and all buttons unresponsive
- dash panel lights are on, but gauges are "dead"
- windshield wipers only operate at high speed.
- windshield washer does not work
- no directionals
- no four way flashers
- no heater fan motor
- no a/c or heat
- door locks do not work from the inside
- cruise control does not work
- traction control on/off unresponsive

Not sure what else may be an issue at this time.

I've disconnected the battery to "preserve" it, and will pursue limited investigation during daylight hours.

Any suggestions what to look for or at?

Thanks for any thoughts.

How old is your battery? I have heard of really wonky things with bad battery.

It's the original battery, so 5 1/2 years as it was built in March 2017.

It’s time for a new battery.

I agree. Typical life for an OEM battery is 4-6 years, mitigated by your environment and driving pattern.

Many, many reports of failures of the OEM battery much sooner that that too, mine included.

My replacement O'Reilly's Super Start battery is 5 years old and has given me zero issues.
