Despite waiting longer than I wanted to, I am very happy with my new F-250. I would do it again if I had to, rather than go to one of the other brands.
I don't plan on replacing my truck anytime soon so it's a moot point. If I had to for some reason like wreck or theft, I'd buy another Ford and from Granger again. I need an HD truck so Toyota and an electric are out from the consideration.
No where. After 6 F250/ F350 since '88' actually used for carrying weight and towing with over 1.5+ million seat miles driven in these trucks. Ford cost a little more but in my opinion they are a better built heavier work vehicle especially when leaving the pavement loaded down. JMHO 😉

If your Ford was a victim of a wreck or theft tomorrow Granger isn't really an option for a new truck. Hard to get a truck with a wait list to order already.
If I was to do it over I would get the same truck but with the 7.3 and the 10 speed transmission. I think the MPG would be better than the 6.2 with the 6 speed. Toyota, if they increase the capacity a bit and improve the drivetrain would be an option.
I’d have to scour the Internet for a mint 2007 Dodge 3500 with the 5.9l Cummins and 6-spd manual. I should have kept the one I had. It’ll probably last longer than the junk the big three are building these days…
I waited for 10 months overall, but there was a new order in there which reset the clock. The 8 month wait on my F350 KR was not easy but I am very satisfied so far. I came from Chevy and Toyota. The Toyota was fine while the Chevy was falling apart under 40k miles. I would only consider Ram at this point if Ford was no longer an option.
I've been driving Chevy/GMC 2500HD DuraMax trucks since my first one in 2006. I've had the 2006, a 2007 "Classic", a 2011, 2015, and a 2016. They've all been great trucks. Deep down though I've always been a "Ford Guy," since my childhood when my dad had a 1973 F250 Camper Special (of-which I'm now trying to finish a restoration). He also had a 1987 Ford Ranger and 1991 F150. Ford never really could deliver a better choice than Chevy for me though, until it came time to order my latest/next truck. I couldn't like the interiors of the early 2000's trucks. Then the 6.0 problems, then GM started putting 36 gallon tanks in "Short bed" trucks, Ford still had smaller tanks. It wasn't just those things, but others here/there as well. Ford finally checked all the boxes with the latest generation, so I decided to order. If I'd known in January that I still wouldn't have my truck until November, or probably December, I probably would have stayed with GMC. At the time, the wait was estimated to be 5-6 months, the same as GM. A coworked ordered a similarly equipped GMC the same week I ordered my Ford. He's had his truck for 90 days already, and mine is still in KenTrucky... maybe, probably, that's what the computer says.... hopefully. The latest delivery estimate is for next week, but status hasn't moved to "Shipped" yet.
Happy with my Ford and would buy another but if I had to switch, I'd go with a CTD Ram. Not a fan of the GM's IFS, its down in diesel power compared to Ram and Ford and it's ugly. Toyota doesn't make a suitable HD pickup and electric doesn't work for me for a variety of reasons.

^^I would do Ford again but I share this sentiment - I loved my 2000, got it just as they switched to the electronic control and 24V......I think I'd try to score a 12 valve all mechanical and never let it see salt. Def my most missed truck. No plastic and foam, no silencers, no pilot injection, just straight loud diesel clatter, turbo noise, and belt squeal as it rolled to a stop - truck could rock me to sleep and I miss all those real diesel sounds.
Ram and GM need to come out with an answer to the 7.3L. Then I’ll reconsider.
What “answer” are you looking for?
Both engines put down nearly identical numbers on the dyno.(same HP and a difference of 7ftlb) It’s hard to find tons of pulls because these are work trucks but here are a couple.
also both mills have 6 bolt mains, forged crank and rods.
the 6.6 has DI though which does provide better mileage.
