Throttle controller?

I have a 2022 F250 XLT reg cab w the 6.2 gas engine. I got it in Feb and just turned 3000 miles, not a lot. I notice that there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the gas pedal and the engines management system. I am curious if this is something the dealer can tune out of the truck or if it's going to require something aftermarket to give the truck a crisper feel. I have talked to the sales guy about it and he kinda blows it off. I will likely be taking it in for some level of service soon just due to the time elapsed and am trying to get a line on what I am looking at to get this cleaned up a little, if possible.
thanks

Look up pedal commander. They work well. Also banks sells a pedal monster which may be better. I have the pedal commander and used it on my 6.2 and my 6.7 both with excellent results. No more lag...

I used a Banks Pedal Monster. Made all the difference. Total different truck. Sold my truck and have the Banks Pedal Monster available for sale if you’re interested.

Most likely it’s pedal lag and not something that can be changed by a service tech. It’s by design. However, like has been mentioned, you can install a throttle controller to remove the lag. Several companies sell them, and they will range in price and number of different settings. While not an expert, I would recommend the Pedal Monster over the rest simply due to the safeties built into it. Saying that, there is one feature that some don’t like about the PM vs the rest and that is that it plugs into and is powered by your OBD2 port. But, that is also one of its safety features… its power source.

I picked up a PM a while back. It works in conjunction with my iDash too, which is a bonus for me. As far as the PM… it does wake the truck up and changes how it drives… but I also never really had an issue with the stock set up. To be honest, I now keep it either turned off or at City 1, which is the lowest setting it has. Even at this setting I can tell a difference though.

One of my biggest issues is I liked to drive my truck around in ECO… I still can with the PM installed, but it seems counterproductive… so for me I have to choose… ECO mode or the PM. Also, when I tow I just turn it off… This would be an issue for me with any of them though.

I don’t know the poster above that is selling one, and am not affiliated with Banks, but if he is offering the PM at a reasonable price I would suggest picking it up and giving it a try. The PM’s are not the least expensive throttle controllers on the market, but based on my research, they do seem to be the best on the market.

I put in the pedal monster in my truck last weekend. 2022 7.3l 3.55 gears. I have settled on city 7. You have to keep in mind that folks have different rear gears in these trucks. Generally people with 4.3 rear ends have less complaints about pedal lag and are less likely to advocate for something like a pedal monster.

I was skeptical, glad I took the leap though. It really does work, much more pleasant to drive in pretty much any normal situation.

I did notice in 4L she gets a little hoppy with the pedal commander turned on, PM is probably not ideal for 4L.

I went with banks as well, much improved. Torque management for the 6.7 still limits things for the first few gears but overall much better throughout. It also features low speed trim to adjust low speeds separately for crappy roads and parking. Think I run city 3.

I have the 6.2 gas as well, and the Pedal Commander makes a world of difference… After a lot of experimenting I settled on City 1, it’s already more responsive without being too nervous. In Sport or Sport Plus it tends to burn tires at every traffic light…

I bought a Pedal Commander model # PC-18 for my '22 7.3 with 4:30 gears when it was shipped. I had one in a Toyota 4Runner that made a huge difference in performance.
After driving the truck, I do not see a need for it as there is no lag with the trans and final gearing. If I drive it in ECO, maybe but I don't feel a need.
I am going to sell it as it has been sitting on the counter in my shop for a year, brand new in the plastic case if anybody is interested, pm me.
