this past weekend i lifted my truck 10" on 40" tires. it is a 2019 f250 CCSB 6.7L. just rolled 60k
everything went pretty smoothly. as im test driving, the truck rings 3 errors:
Service ABS
Service Adance Trac
the upon coming to a complete stop:
Hill Descent Control unavailable.
ive googled and searched forums and seen some others having this issue but answers are few and far between. anyone have a solution or potential solution?
the truck is currently at 4 wheel parts for an alignment and the shop is also double checking my work. i was a tech at my local ford dealership for several years (since left to run a construction biz) when the 6.7s first came out, so i consider myself well equipped in tools and confident in my abilities to install lift kits as this wasnt my first install but the new electronics in these things are not familiar to me.
Agree that the problem stems from the ABS system. ABS and stability control work by measuring the difference in wheel speeds among wheels. Since you've installed tires with a much larger diameter than stock there is now a significant variation between MPH and expected wheel speed. I wonder if this is causing confusion because your wheel speeds are now outside of expected parameters.
ill go through and inspect the harnesses to and from the hubs,
4 wheel parts double checked my install and by all appearances it is correct and tight
the errors are intermittent and go away by themselves, if this offers any further information. since picking the truck up from alignment i havent had any alerts come up, ive only put about five miles on it since the 4WP is close to my shop.
will report back
I have a 2017, I also run 40s on mine and I've never had any CELs as a result. I had a shop install my lift so I don't know if they did an extra step to avoid triggering the errors or not. My lift is 8" so with your lift being bigger, maybe you inadvertently pulled a pin out of one of your connectors in a wiring harness somewhere.
Also, have you tried to reset the errors in FORScan to see if they come back? Maybe they were triggered when you disconnected everything and it just needs to be reset.

hooked up to forscan last night, i think you may be right but time will tell. the error shown (i cleared it before taking a screenshot unfortunately,) showed a short circuit to battery in the ABS module.
i went through a forced self tests on the PCM, TCM, ABS which all came back issue free, and also recalibrated the trucks accelerometer which cleared up a small discrepancy on the "offroad" tab showing my steering wheel slightly cocking 1* to the left under a small amount of steering. since these procedures, i havent had any of the error messages show up but ive only driven 10 miles or less as i work close to home.
thinking back to the date of my install, the instructions said to disconnect both batteries before beginning which i neglected to do before putting the truck in the air, hopefully this was the issue and has since been corrected.
upon inspection of the ABS harnesses on the rear axle, i can see where a retainer clip was forcefully removed from its home, though all of the cables appear in sound condition. the front shows no obvious concern.
I had the same problem when I installed new Carli Springs. Had all of the same messages. When I was putting the right rear spring in place it slipped and pinched the ABS Cable. That broke one of the wires in the cable which wasn't visible. A new ABS cable fixed it. Carli Rear, Deaver Bronco Front, Nitto Recon, Morimoto, Icon, More> Talon Cat Skid Talon Cat Skid
Ok I think I’ve found the solution. Had a friend wiggle the steering wheel while laying under the front of the truck and the nut on drag link where it bolts to the pitman arm was loose. Like so loose the cotter pin was all that held it on. This probably also solved the pop sound when turning tight, such as a parking lot or backing in my trailers.
will update if the error codes persist. Thank all for the help
