The bigger mirrors have a larger tripod mount. This helps eliminate the vibration you saw. I am not sure I would run those in the “wide” orientation. I would be concerned that the increased stress from wind sheer while driving would cause excessive vibrations and distort the door panel over time. That is a nice looking truck and a warped door panel would be unpleasant. If the inside configuration doesn’t cause more vibration, I would probably run it. Purely as personal preference, I place the blind spot mirror at the bottom. I will find a pic for reference.
