That’s what I thought, but this is a long story I’ll forgo with other than about a lariat setting dormant 6 years. I should have ask for more detail for that years pats such as its location but knowing the code answers most of my questions. Possibly it was added on by original orderer? If so, knowing the code tells me where to look on the truck as I haven’t gotten it started yet. The previous owner butchered the wiring adding remote starting in ways that give me pause. I’ve fixed that to the extent this knowledge is helpful to get it started. As it is, thank you.for the reply.
Didn't the Harley Davidson edition superdutys get the PATS system during the 6.0 years (when none of the other superduties had it, just the Excursions)?

04 was the first year for the HD F250 which makes it irrelevant for the current discussion.
As to your question, no, the early HD F250s did NOT have PATS. They just used a key shell that was big enough for the HD logo and a lot of folks confused it with an actual PATS key.

Hmmm. That's interesting.
I was the person that released the ECM/TCM software into production for all 6.0L trucks for 2003 through 2005 model year. I released unique software for the HD versions that DID have PATS. So your information is wrong, there was PATS on the HD trucks.

Mark,
That's quite interesting! Nothing I've come across (so far) in any of Ford's service documentation lists the F250 HD as an exception.
