Sunroof Shutter

After 13yrs and 145k miles the sunroof finally gave way and the guides broke, Sounds like I was super lucky it lasted this long. Not a fun project, but it was not too bad. Now it's in, but it shudders when closing on the right side. Some times it stops midway and while closing and opens again. Only does this once most of the time but it can repeat several times on occasion. The vent option works fine and it appears it all works well other than this shudder. I did note that the "cable" that runs it was fowled with black "lint" that I can only assume is plastic from the cable guides being chewed up a bit after 13 yrs of operation. The shudder feels like this cable not running smoothly in the guides? I did not install the headliner again as that is a pain. I put the glass back in and wanted to test it before I went that far. Would like to correct this issue before I button it all back up. Everything is very well lubed so I don't think there is binding of the new guides etc. Hind sight maybe I should have replaced the entire track after this long, not just the guide parts.

Any thoughts on this shudder and stop start issue?
