Did you do a power steering conversion on a 65 352 motor or similar? I have been reading and it seems like a pain. Is it worth it? I'd like my kids to be able to drive without all the muscle. I am open to suggestions.
If someone knows of a shop in Los Angeles area I would like to talk to them.
You'll get more info in the truck forum and I'll move you there if you like.
IMO, short version, keep it as it is, and the kids will develop arm muscles like all of us who drove older vehicles. Added on linkage assist power steering leaves a lot to be desired, again, imo. There may be other solutions but we need to go to the truck forum.....

I found a 77’ in a wreaking yard and stripped the whole steering and disc brakes off of it. Best thing I did.
I just converted my 1966 f100, a guy at the Pomona swap meet sells parts for the conversion. I got the ps steering box, pump and brackets, the pitman arm and the hoses for $700. The only thing you have to get is a shortened steering column rod or have your rod shortened.
65' 352 v8. I got the PS pump, bracket, pulleys, and some hose off a mid 70's sedan with 390. It was cheap but that was 30 years ago. Prolly hard to find now. Gear came off an '81 but they are all the same in that time period. MUST be a V8 gear. Well worth the effort, but $700, that hurts. V8 PS gears are hard to find for an FE
