I ran them in my 07 F-150 5.7L Triton. It's not that I thought they were bad plugs, it's just they didn't seem any better than the OEM Motorcraft plugs, particularly once Motorcraft got away from that silly 2 piece design. I certainly would not rip out good OEM plugs and replace them with E3's trying to get any sort of performance gains.
Some folks poo-poo the 5.4 Triton but I had very good luck with mine in a F150
The 5.4L was a great engine for a lot of people in things like F150s and E150s but I had an 05 F250 crew cab and it needed more motor. It would shift all the time in rolling hills and only got 14mpg summer/11mpg winter on the highway
Hey everyone, is anyone running E3 Spark Plugs in 7.3 engine & what's your take on them good/bad ?
I ran them in a 1994 F150 4.9L. They did get a small bump in mileage and it seem to accelerate better. Now remember I was working with motor that had only 150hp.
I'm at 79k miles now, probably around the new year I'll be changing the plugs with oem MC SP551. No need to reinvent the wheel when it spins perfectly fine now. 😉
Wouldn't touch an E3 with a ten foot pole, caused nothing but issues with my lawn mower. Maybe got a couple bad plugs, but never had issues with any other brand I've used.
