I'd tell Gene what your plan is and ask him how to do it, to make sure you do not ruin his work. I am sure you know that normally that radio only goes to a little single dash speaker.
Not sure why you would want to. I would understanding keeping the radio if you were going for and OEM truck, although that isn't the case with your speaker.
I suspect the speaker if for bass with the single input, and you would be limiting your sound quality. If you want to pursue this speaker/radio combo you will need to use a high-level input adapter.
Search amazon for Stereo high level unput adapter and you should find one.
Using the BIG speaker is not a must. I have owned it for awhile. I'm putting the radio in my blue 79 bronco. I have not had a radio in this vehicle for 17 years and to many Wyoming to Michigan and back trips with no radio.. I think it is about time for some tunes. The center speaker is shot and not operational. So if I have to, then I will install door speakers. I do not have the rear inside panels to mount speakers. Any advice.
You have a smart phone? Like who doesn't now days.
