I am looking for door seals for my 67 F-100. Slim pickings here in Canada, so I have been checking US companies.
Does anyone have any experience with either Precison door seal, model DWP 211067, or Dennis carpenter C7TZ-8120530-PR?
Any comments would be appreciated. I have read that some seals are a bit large making the doors hard to close. I'm not sure if that's a problem that goes away over time.
I used Soffseal door weather stripping from Summit Racing. The part number is FD9009. They sell them for $33.30 each. They fit like they were made by Ford. And be sure to use the Black glue from 3M.It's good stuff.
Whatever you do, dont use the Fairchild F3001 door seals from Rockauto. The channel that attaches to the pinch weld is too wide and doesnt fit right. I put those on my 70 f250 about 6 years ago. The seals are still in good shape, they just need to be glued on heavier. I have Precision 14 piece seal kit for my 72 f250 but havent installed any of it yet. Really soon though. Duck hunting is slowing me down now .
I just did the door seals on my 71' a few months ago. Thus was the second time I did it. The first time I used LMC and the rubber cracked/weathered fairly quick. I didn't use the 3M adhesive because I wanted to see how it would hold up.
The second time around I used door seals from Marvin's Classic Ford and the 3M adhesive. I watched a few YouTube videos on this. Cleaned the pinch weld and dry fitted, trimmed to fit with the ends meeting under the floor plate. Put the adhesive on the pinch weld and inside the gasket as recommended (used 2 tubes of 3M Adhesive Yellow total). Holding up well and doors shut nice with a little extra effort.
I used the Dennis carpenters from flashback f100. 3M adhesive, used painters tape to help alignment and anchoring, monitored the adhering then left doors open for maybe a day. They were a bit hard to close for a while but have smooshed down.

I got a full cab Precision weatherstripping kit for my 70 from Rock Auto. Winsheild, back window, wing mirrors, channel mouldings, felt scrapers, and door seals all in one kit.
