I Went to a truck show and then a swap meet this weekend. Didn't win much of anything but a free oil change at a dealership 70 miles away. But didn't buy anything at the swap meet either. I must be getting old. Had a guy who was upset that garret and didn't want a "core" c6 tranny that he had already loaded into his trailer, and piled stuff on. Next weekend is another truck show and my daughters first b-ball game. Then a workday at the farm for my folks. Nov 11th I plan on wheeling and camping. Seems like every weekend I have 20 or 30 things planned then can't do a bunch of them. :-( I guess I should focus on the fact that but I get to do some :-) Anyhoo hope you had a good weekend and are planning a good week/weekend.
Our weekend was pretty fun. The boys had a good time at the Cub Scout's "Grizzly Halloween" out at Camp Brown. It's Mason's last year already, can't believe we've been in it since he was in Kindergarten!
Sunday was church and then Mason and I went to the Wade Beemer pheasant hunt put on by the Dickinson County Pheasants Forever group. They had several stations including archery (ran by the Chapman HS archery teams), .22 target shooting with really nice Henry lever-actions, trap shooting, a "staged" live bird shoot with a cleaning station to show the kids how to harvest the meat. Even had a hot dog feed to fill us up at the end
I'm really glad there are events such as these to teach kids shooting and sportsman skills. Hopefully it also sparks some interest so they continue to do them the rest of their lives.
I don't remember what we did this weekend, and don't remember what I am supposed to do this weekend, the only weekend on my mind is the weekend of the 11th and 12th for off-roading.
LOL!! I was Richard Gere and she was Julia Roberts from "Pretty Woman" we won the costume contest.
One guy wore all white, and had a hat he made with a blinking light, and a wind generator prop on it, that turned real slow, but he had to take the prop off to prevent smacking people in the head.
