We somehow ended up buying a super-nice NordiTrack treadmill from some overstock store in Salina over the weekend. Amazon and Costco were selling that model for $1500 and we picked it up for $375, one of the better deals we've come across in a while.
Box was a little beat up but the inside was still factory packed and sealed. Took me an hour or so but I got it together and everyone got a chance to try it out. It has a 10" screen that streams pre-recorded trainer workouts from all over the world. I did a hike in Bryce Canyon NYP and around Lake Tahoe, Jamie did a long stairclimb somewhere in Europe. The boys picked out a beach run and African safari hike and surprised me with how enthusiastic they were to want to work out and experience the different workouts. It has Google Maps integrated so we were able to make a custom route around Bar Harbor, Maine where we spent a couple days walking around last summer.
I hope to stick in a daily morning routine with using it, Jamie does hers in the evening. Here's to an early New Year's commitment that hopefully won't die before NYE
