Hey guys new to the group, self taught learner here, and new to the obd1 era. I have an 89 5.0 f150 that stalls out on me. After driving a while (30min or more).
purchased an obd1 reader and got codes 12*44*33*77*52*
Not sure if these codes all work together or what. Just not to sure where to start. Don't want to throw money where it's not needed.
12 engine running - rpm idle out of range /high
44 engine running - thermactor air fault
33 engine running or stored - EGR valve not opening properly
77 engine running - dynamic response not sensed (operator error)
52 engine off or engine running - power steering pressure switch open
It appears that you performed the key on engine running test. Throw all those codes in the trash. Now do the key on engine off test. Tell us what codes you get and whether it is an active or stored code.
When the engine quits after driving 30 minutes or more does the engine start right back up? If it doesn't start right back up, how long before it will restart?
