Most of the time when I reverse and the Reverse Sensor Beeps, it sounds like it is coming from the rear of the cab and has more of a 'modern' tone. Other times, it sounds like it is coming from the dash and has a tone more like an 80's video game.
I guess I never paid much attention to the fidelity of the backup alarm beeps. I have constant permanent ringing in both ears anyway (caused by chemotherapy) so it doesn't make much difference.
I have a 2017 F350, so this info might be a bit outdated. When I ordered my truck new I ordered a back up alarm, which is located at the drivers side rear underside of the pickup bed.
