Transmission? Need help
My transmission feels to be slipping,but my wife never did nothing to engine at all.. I replace spark plugs and coils,but also realize the transmission screen never been change or fluid I can’t pass 50 also takes a while to accelate to 50 mph..Should I change the fluid and screen maybe it will work better or is the tranny shot? 5.4 2004 XLT with 261,000 miles please help..Other car was totaled so I’m on my last leg 🙏🏽

Do the engine RPMs rev high without speed increasing? If yes, then that is transmission slip. If no, then that is lack of power.
If lack of power, then that could be many things. Is the check engine light on?

It take forever to get to 50mph yes engine light been on for a few years
engine light on for years,yes it must be the slipping but flushing transmission should help right

I can't advise if a fluid flush will help this situation.
