check engine light comes on.

working on a 1996 F250 7.3 power stroke. when the check engine light comes on, engine lose's it's power and misses. and when the check light goes off it run's okay. we pulled out a code and it reads P0603 ( internal ctrl mod kam error), don't know what this means. any suggestion.

The only time I get that code is when I have installed another program into my computer and have not erased the DTC codes.

My 2003 PSD does the same thing, but only when I am pulling a trailer. I have the super tuner programmer and I keep it on tow safe. But when I step on the gas to give it a little more it starts missing.

That means that at some point your batteries have been disconnected. There is something else going on in there. You either need a better code reader (if yours dosen't read generic and specific codes), or you will have to scan it while the light is on.
