I have an 2005 f150 with a blown motor, I see the 2004 f150 significantly cheaper than the 2005 one. However when I give the junkyard my vin they said the 2004 one is not compatible. The 2004 is a 5.4 liter 3V SOHC motor. Will this work in the 2005 truck?

 

Odds are...not a direct interchange and some parts will have to be swapped from the ‘05 engine to the donor. Intake and various pieces of that sort. Stuff you’ll have to eyeball as you swap.
