1977 F150

Hi Everyone Thanks for the Add.

So my 15 year old son, 86 year old Dad, and I are doing a complete frame off restoration of a 1977 F150 Short Bed 4x4 that was my Dad's then mine and will soon be my sons. I look at this forum often for information and figured I would sign up so I could ask questions and benifit from everyone's experience's.
That being said we currently have the front axle torn apart and am sandblasting, priming and paint all the components, we should be wrapping that up soon and I was wondering if any company sells (and which ones are the best) a complete u-joint and seal kit for the front axle. I made the mistake of letting the truck sit for 20 years and have been out of the loop for that time also. So I am trying to catch up and really make this a nice truck, that I did not have the money to do when I was in my 20's. I will attach some pics when I am able.

Thank You in Advance
Randy

Welcome to FTE. The 77 short box 150 is a great looking ride. Good luck with your build. For help and information, check out the, "older, Classic and Antique Trucks" section. Click on the forms tab at the top let, check the drop downs for the section. The experts dwell there and are always ready to help. Don't forget to join the Va. chapter too. That's a good bunch of people, with lots of expertise.

Great that it has been in the family so long, and that you're working together to restore it! The folks over in the "1973 - 1979 F-100 & Larger F-Series Trucks" forum will be able to help you out quite a bit!

Welcome aboard!
