The day I found it hiding out in the back corner of the local Ford dealer. Added an OEM bed liner Towed the little Jayco we had at the time while waiting for the new ORV to get delivered The short-lived Peragon bed cover. Big improvement from the Bak-Flip VP I had on the previous RAM. Replaced the Peragon cover with a Leer 122 Hi-Rise. Also installed WeatherTech mud flaps and 6.2L Boss Heavy Duty badging. Current combination - love the ORV - tows better than the little Jayco.
@ttavasc if I had tall enough garage doors I would definitely get a camper shell. Looks good, I bet a taller one like that helps MPG when towing taller trailers like a camper.
Unrelated but I wanted to say those are some cool looking trees in the 5th picture.

The previous owners of our house framed in behind the garage door and turned it into a rec room - you can see the studs in the 70's style goldenrod plexiglass at the top of the door. So that wasn't a factor for me. We've since added siding in front of the garage door for a better look. Not sure the Leer does much for mpg but it definitely moves the bug line up a ways on the front cap of the trailer.
Yeah - that 5th picture is from Craters of the Moon National Monument in central Idaho back in fall 2020. Lots of interesting scenery there - well worth a visit if you are in the area.
I've been an analysis paralysis trying to decide on a bed cover. Can you elaborate on what you like about the Peragon over the bak-flip?
The biggest issue I had with the Bak-Flip VP was some of the panels started to separate after a couple of years which led to it sagging in places and being more leak-prone. Not sure what the underlying root cause for that was but I always thought it may have had something to do with hotter temps when we spent time in the southwest. After that experience I decided the next cover would be a metal one and I liked the look and operation of the Peragon. It folded easily and with a single latch the folded cover pops out for full use of the bed. Another benefit of the Peragon was when it was folded up it did not block the view out the rear window like the Bak-Flip did. The only reason I moved on from the Peragon was a desire for a taller covered storage space. Otherwise, it is an excellent well-made cover. Both the Bak-Flip and Peragon were about the same height and that height just became too limiting for my needs.
There really is no perfect bed cover. I went from a solid 1-piece cover (UnderCover SE) to a Peragon, and they had their tradeoffs.
The nice thing about the Peragon is that it folds into the bed and does not block your rear window. The downside is that it folds into the bed. Meaning that if you have anything in your bed, you likely will not be able to retract the cover because it will hit the thing that is in your bed.
The 1-piece did not work for me. I haul too often (building supplies that stick above the bed rails) and the 1-peice killed my bed capacity because it really restricts the height of things you can fit in the bed. And it was too much of a hassle to remove it if needed. The ease of temporarily removing the Peragon with just having to push on one tab was awesome.
