Building a 2014 5.4 3v bottom up.
My goal is 400hp to the wheels, Naturally Aspirated.
Question? Putting a knife edge on the crankshaft counter weights, Will that aid in any horse power gains ?
Thank You in advance for any response
Not in an F150 which is what this section of the forum is about. Last year that engine was used in the F150 was 2010.
You're better off with the more powerful 5.0 coyote engine the truck might have come with. It's 365hp stock and can easily get over 400hp with just a custom tune.

Short answer no. If you're planning on putting an under powered engine in that truck you're going to have to do a lot more than just figure out how to bolt it down, the wiring and electronics are completely incompatible.
If you have this engine in an Expy, I suggest you head over to that forum for the best advice.
A search will tell you it is not cost effective and would be one of the last things you would do for a maximum effort engine. There are other ways to get the oil off the crank.
It would require the engine be rebalanced--if you remove too much weight you are looking at an expensive rebalance job as weight has to be added back.

In short, the least of your worries.....

Sir,
The question had nothing to do with a Expedition, I just have the 2014 motor, doing a rebuild for my 09 F-150, and was asking about knife edging the crankshaft counter weights.

3 different people have already told you that's a waste of time. Which one didn't you understand?
