Front end issues

Got a 4 inch lift kit awhile back, had a guy come install it so I'm not sure exactly what he did but somethings ****ed up. In reverse my I beam moves up and causes one wheel to turn and one to stay straight. I've tried tightening all the stuff he should've tighten none of that helped. Anyone got any ideas?

Have you had it aligned? How old are your tie rods?

This isn't that unusual to be honest. Does it sit right after pulling forward?

Did get it aligned they didn't adjust camber or caster though, was gonna wait til I got this figured out. Brand new tie rods. I know the camber issue is normal but I can't even back up, the tires just start bouncing instead of rolling. Normal after pulling forward

Did the kit have a dropped pitman arm?

Half ton or three quarter? Any idea what kit was used?

TONS of rubber up front on these that does not last 30 years could easily be an issue.

Did you check with the wheels on the ground or in the air?

Maybe some bits torqued in the air without full weight on them. Any front end I have done, I always torque with weight on the bits.

I was thinking more along the lines of “no way to check if something is loose with weight on it”.

Half ton rough country 4 inch kit. I'll look over it again but nothing looked bad besides tie rods which I ended up replacing

When the guy was doing it was some in the air some on the ground, I went back over it and got everything tight with weight on it

If you have stock Ibeam bushings and radius arm ones, even a bit of droop throws alignment off.

I have experienced more passenger side failed bushings than driver. I assume this is due to exhaust heat.

New radius arms and bushings went in while doing the lift kit.. I beam bushings is a possibility, but just the bushing could cause that big of a problem?

Any small out of specification setting is typically amplified on these twin i-beam/traction beam front ends when going in reverse. Even having the toe too tight or wide seems to make a big impact on the perceived alignment when going in reverse.

Your "normal" photo appears to show the camber is out so to me that is a big contributing factor to your issue. Fix the alignment, I suspect the reversing issue will be minimized.
