U0307

2011 running a Mini Maxx programmer. Never had a problem in years of this set up. I recently changed out glow plugs and glow plug controller. No other error messages but getting a CEL light with codes:
P0671 Cylinder 1 Glow Plug Circuit
U0307 Software Incompatibility with Glow Plug Control Module

Truck has been back to the shop twice to fix the problem but keeps returning. Issue with the MM tune? Would reinstalling the MM tune fix it?

Was the GPCM programmed with IDS when you installed it? U0307 sets when there is invalid date recieved by the PCM from the GPCM. This is caused by incorrect software or a comuunication error. As for the cylinder 1 code, I would correct the software concern first. If it is still there afterwards and you have replaced the glow plugs already, you will have to test the circuit from the GPCM to the glow plugs themselves.

I have no idea what the GPCM was programmed with; if it requires programming that i someone else's job. So this is an issue with the software used to program the GPCM, nothing to do with the MiniMaxx tune?

Can Ford program this without screwing up MiniMaxx tune?

Looks like I will let Ford take a look. Hopefully this is just a missed wire in the harness.

let them know that you are not running a factory tune so they dont try to make other changes,

Might be adviseable to ensure you have the current tune to reload if needed and the factory tune if they need it.
