HI, this is my first post to this forum I've read a lot on here but never had an issue that I needed a bit of help on. This weekend I went fourwheeling in my truck nothing crazy but ended up pinching a massive wiring bundle in between my frame and a rock. It ran on the driver side of the frame and seemed like it went back to the fuel tank. The second those cords were cut I lost all power and control to the entire truck. My odometer no longer displays my miles and every single light that could come on, on the dash does. Truck doesn't crank at all and basically just turns the dash board on. I'm starting with getting a new relay for the PCM because I believe it might have friend the PCM but I still have no idea. If any of y'all got some advice or things to try or even just a way to diagnose what actually got fried I would be super apprecative as I have no idea what to do at the moment.
Check the mega fuses at the battery + terminal, also check the fuses in the under hood power distribution box. That is after you repair the wiring you crunched.
1) what RLXXI said is a great start
2) it would be helpful for you to identify which wiring harness is (was) affected.
here are the major harness for an '09 supercrew.. I assume yours is similar 3) Once the harness is identified, the "easter egg" hunt gets a bit easier.
Based on your description, I assume the harness in question is 14405, the other end connects to the BJB in front of the engine.
If it is 14405, determine which wires (by color or by tracing to the affected connector) are affected.
I would also give F27 (in the BJB) a look (20amp fuel pump relay fuse) , There is a TSB 15-137 that is to remedy problems with this fuse location (melts), and the symptoms of a melted / blown F27 not only kill the fuel pump, but other problems.
