I had a leaky master cylinder on my 63 Econoline, which I just got replaced. My brake pedal is no longer squishy, but the pedal is kind of low. How do I get the pedal height higher again? I know the shoes are good as I just had new ones put on less than a year ago and haven't driven all that much since. I know there is that little slot on the inner side of the wheel where a screw driver fits in to turn a little screw wheel on the wheel cylinders. Is that how I adjust the pedal height? And if so, do I want to move the little screw wheel from top to bottom or bottom to top? I've never messed with that before.
Checked some youtube videos. I guess it will only go one direction and should click against the piece of metal that prevents it from turning backward as I turn the little cog wheel.
Anything else I should know before I start messing with this?

Actually most of the self adjusters will turn both directions even though they are not suppose to. Your brake setup should have the adjuster that pushes down on the wheel to tighten, so to tighten with a brake spoon, you'll push down on the brake spoon. You can tighten until you feel a drag on the shoe, then after you do all 4, push the pedal hard a few times then do them again.
I'm not sure if a 1963 has it or not, but if you look up under your dash, at or near he top of your brake pedal there should be a threaded rod. That is your height adjustor. Good luck.
