Had new brakes installed today and the mechanic said my Radius Arm/Rod Bushings are cracked and suggested replacement before not too long.
I believe the OEM part number is YC3Z-3B203-AA
Like most parts, are OEM the best for this application or are there better quality bushings out there?
You are working with a 2WD?
Don't know if they are better or worse, but I replaced ours with Moog K201635 bushings which look just as good as the OEM bushings.
One of the OEM bushings was fairly bad after 130k causing a thunk when making certain types of turns with dips.
I made a press with a large bolt and various washers & sleeves which was a bit of a pain, but got them installed without removing the arm.
So far they are working fine after 20k.
When I apply the brakes it pulls right. The shop who installed the front brakes commented that the Radius Arm Bushings needed replacement.
Could this be the problem?
