Time for new tires

What’s everyone running on their 17+? Looking to go to a 295/65-20 and I was looking at the nittos and the toyos.like to get at least 35k out of a set of tires this time.

I’m on my fourth set of Toyo M/T’s. About 80k miles on the two sets that were on my 2004 Silverado 2500. Third set is on my 2022 F250. Fourth set is on my wife’s Wrangler.

Running nitto ridge grapplers and they are great. Super quiet for 37's, would 100% buy another set.

I've been contemplating those as well as the factory Michelins are about done at 62000 miles ( not too bad actually)

The toyos are spendy however. How did they wear for you?

This thread is timely. I have 55k miles on my 17 and the factory Goodyears are in need of replacement. I’m leaning towards Michelin this time. I want decent rain, snow and towing performance.

I do run the Kendas mentioned above on my Jeep. They are a great tire on the Jeep.

I had the Nitto RG's on my 2017 SD. They got progressively louder as the wore, but the wore pretty good. My brother just put the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T's on his chevy -- so far, so good on them. I think that's what I'll put on my Tremor when the time comes because they come in a 305/70r18.

Unless you are running some offbrand mud tire or not rotating occasionally, most tires in that size will get you 35k miles. I would look into other factors when making your decision.

As much as I hate to admit it, the factory Michelins are pretty good. They look kind of boring, but they work in all conditions that I drive, they are quiet. and they seem to last far longer than tires with a more aggressive tread pattern.

agreed! I’m running nitto ridge grapplers 285/75/18 with a 2” level. Looks great and rides even better! I always keep 600-700 pounds in the bed of the truck which helps
