2008 F-250 4wd diesel. The issues started with my shifter locked in park on initial startup. The first thing I did was replace the brake light switch which made no difference. Then I started the process of replacing the shift interlock solenoid, but as I was removing the steering column panels other issues began to arise. I noticed that after the engine ran for about a minute, the shifter interlock started working. Not long after that I got a check brake system, trailer brake module fault. Later so many different things were happening in the dash cluster I can't even remember them all. After my latest attempt to make sense of everything I gave up and parked it. As it stands now the shifter remains locked, the power windows will not operate, and the radio will not function until that initial 60 seconds after startup has elapsed, then they work. Then when I shut the truck down and remove the keys, open and close the door as if I exited the vehicle, (but I'm still sitting in the seat) the radio pops on, and the power windows will operate, and there is some type of buzzer going off under the hood which I have yet to find, and the check brake system, trailer brake module fault is still on. The only way I can shut off the buzzer turn off the radio, and make the power windows inoperable is to disconnect the batteries. So now it's parked in my shop with the batteries disconnected waiting for an answer. I've seen posts on the internet that point to the gauge cluster circuit board, and I called Circuit Board Medics, but they didn't think that was the problem. But it sure sounds like the same problems I've read about. The truck stays in my shop out of the weather, and I can't find any evidence of rodent issues. I'd appreciate any advice.
