Needing new tires for my 83 f150 4x4 stock height. I have a set of 16x8 American Racing AR23 wheels, and was thinking 265/75r16. Does anyone else run this size? Any clearance problems?
Thanks, Joe.
265/75/16 are supposed to be 31.6 inches tall and 10.4 inches wide. Like the other poster said, it will depend on the offset of the wheel. If you put this on a stock wheel it would most certainly rub in a parking lot maneuver on the front. If your wheels stick the tire out enough not to rub on the front, the rear will probably rub some if you haul firewood or something else heavy. If it's a mall cruiser, you should be fine.
These are the wheels. Currently they’re on my 67 f100 2wd running 245/75r16 the wheels are 16x8 with either 4” or 4.5” back spacing. Looks like the 265s are just over an inch taller and about an inch wider. If this helps. Thanks guys.
